Admission Requirements

This procedure is available for:
italian students, EU citizens and extra-EU citizens legally residing.


For admission to the Course is required, according to the Course Regulation (Art. 6-Admission to the Course):

  • Curriculum of University studies, with certification of the exams taken;
  • A certificate of knowledge of the English language, adapted to parameter B2 that you can
    self-certificate using the form

is possible to produce a self-certification regarding the actual linguistic skills that correspond to the B2 level of written and oral English (provided it is truthful). I remind you that a B2 level English student is capable of:

  1. understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in one’s field of specialization
  2. interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with English speakers entirely possible without effort for both parties
  3. produce clear and detailed texts on a wide range of topics and explain a point of view on a topical issue, identifying advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Please keep in mind that the self-certification is made under your own responsibility and in the event of a declaration that is evidently untrue and found once you have enrolled in the course, the appropriate measures will be taken by the course coordination, if necessary at the level of the University disciplinary commission. In fact, in class and on exams, an inadequate language level is immediately found, preventing one from truly enjoying the courses and obtaining positive evaluations. I say this absolutely not to discourage, but to remind you that, should you have to resort to self-certification, you must be aware of doing so “in science and conscience”, truly parameterizing your linguistic abilities on the description given above.

Students from the following degrees are certified B2:

  • LM49 Planning and Management of Tourist Systems (Progettazione e Gestione dei Sistemi Turistici)
  • L11 Languages ​​in the Information Society (Lingue nella Società dell’Informazione)
  • L11 Modern Languages ​​and Literatures (Lingue e Letterature Moderne)
  • LM37 European and American Languages ​​and Literature (Lingue e Letterature Europee e Americane)
  • Students who have earned 12 CFU in English in the LM49 course
  • Students in possession of certification issued by Institutes accredited by MIUR (Trinity, Cambridge, etc…)

 

To be admitted to a Master’s Degree Course (lasts 2 years) students must have a three-year university degree or diploma, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable. Specific access criteria are envisaged which require, however, the possession of curricular requirements and the adequacy of the student’s personal preparation.

An adequate initial preparation involves the possession of skills in the knowledge of forms and methods of conservation and enhancement of the historical, artistic, territorial and economic-productive heritage; fundamentals of computer knowledge; personal preparation in the social sciences. The assessment of linguistic knowledge of English is adequate for parameter B2.

The verification of the curricular requirements and the adequacy of the initial preparation are evaluated through an Interview held by a dedicated Commission, appointed by the Department Director and composed of professors competent in the scientific-disciplinary sectors of reference for the course of study.
