On 10 February, 2026, from 14.00 to 15.00 (Italian Time) Tor Vergata University of Rome is pleased to invite you to the International Open Day, the event dedicated to the presentation of the English-taught degree courses offered by the Schools of Economics, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences and Medicine and Surgery.

On this occasion, you will also learn about the specific requirements for admission to the above courses, tuition fees and scholarships, accommodation, and how to enjoy your life in Rome. You can take a Virtual Tour of our University and learn about all the opportunities our community offers to each student. This will help you decide on your future at Tor Vergata University of Rome.

Nel quadro del progetto “Democrazia dell’apprendimento” Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata e AID PER L’INCLUSIONE avviano un percorso di supporto e consulenza.
Il progetto mira a implementare la qualità dell’insegnamento adottando pratiche inclusive, orientate al successo formativo e alla partecipazione, e a supportare studenti e studentesse con DSA e profili neurodivergenti.
Nell’ambito del progetto saranno previste sessioni di formazione sincrona/asincrona e sportelli di consulenza con approccio evidence-informed.

In particolare, per i/le Docenti, il percorso offrirà strumenti per l’implementazione della conoscenza delle caratteristiche delle persone DSA, elementi di progettazione didattica inclusiva, strategie per materiali accessibili e comunicazione didattica efficace, indicazioni sulle misure dispensative/compensative, sportelli dedicati per un confronto su casi in aula.
Il percorso prevede sessioni di formazione asincrona/sincrona e sportelli di supporto per tutti gli aventi interesse dell’Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata”: Studenti e studentesse, Docenti, Personale tecnico-amministrativo e Tutor dell’apprendimento.
Per i/le docenti, il percorso prenderà avvio con un primo incontro di presentazione online del progetto che si terrà MERCOLEDI 4 FEBBRAIO dalle 11.30 alle 12.00.

L’incontro è aperto e non è necessaria iscrizione. L’incontro sarà registrato per permettere una più ampia condivisione.

La partecipazione a questo incontro è importante per accedere a tutte le azioni successive del progetto, che verranno ampiamente condivise.

Sempre in materia di inclusione desidero lanciare una call per raccogliere le manifestazioni di interesse a partecipare alla stesura delle linee guida e carta dei servizi della CARIS, unitamente a docenti che già collaborano pro bono con la CARIS e ad esperti esterni, sia in materia di disabilità che in materia di Disturbi Specifici dell’apprendimento. As part of the “Learning Democracy” project, the University of Rome Tor Vergata and AID FOR INCLUSION are launching a support and consultancy process. The project aims to implement the quality of teaching by adopting inclusive practices, oriented towards educational success and participation, and to support students with SLD and neurodivergent profiles. The project will include synchronous/asynchronous training sessions and advice desks with an evidence-informed approach.

In particular, for teachers, the course will offer tools for the implementation of knowledge of the characteristics of SLD people, elements of inclusive educational design, strategies for accessible materials and effective educational communication, indications on dispensatory/compensatory measures, dedicated desks for discussion on cases in the classroom. The course includes asynchronous/synchronous training sessions and support desks for all those interested in the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”: Students, Teachers, Technical-Administrative Staff and Learning Tutors. For teachers, the course will start with a first online presentation meeting of the project to be held on WEDNESDAY 4 FEBRUARY from 11.30 to 12.00.

The meeting is open and no registration is required. The meeting will be recorded to allow for wider sharing.

Participation in this meeting is important to access all the subsequent actions of the project, which will be widely shared.

Still on the subject of inclusion, I would like to launch a call to collect expressions of interest in participating in the drafting of the CARIS guidelines and service charter, together with teachers who already collaborate pro bono with CARIS and external experts, both in the field of disability and in the field of Specific Learning Disorders. You can express your interest by writing to medaglia@uniroma2.it and segreteria@caris.uniroma2.it.

“Cultural Diversity” Project/Progetto “Diversità culturale”

The project in which curricular internships are offered consists in the preparation and realisation of a University event on the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, called by the United Nations Organisation in 2002 and since then celebrated worldwide on 21 May. The University event, which will reach its sixth edition in 2026, is an opportunity for the academic community to appreciate the colours of cultural diversity through unique personal stories/experiences and is mainly focused on the presentation of interviews made by some students or other members of the academic community to artists or museum directors/curators from their place of origin (Italian or foreign). The aim is not to deepen a scientific-disciplinary focus, but to increase intercultural dialogue and knowledge in the academic community. The interviewed are either directly connected to the artwork (e.g. the director or a curator of the museum where it is stored) or publicly recognised artists in creative fields such as painting, architecture, sculpture, literature, music, performing arts and film. Alongside the interviews, other types of presentations are offered each year. For example, in 2026, a new section dedicated to personal names will be launched.

Il progetto in cui si offre la possibilità di includere i tirocini curriculari consiste nella preparazione e realizzazione di un evento di Ateneo in occasione della Giornata mondiale per la diversità culturale per il dialogo e lo sviluppo, indetta dall’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite nel 2002 e da allora celebrata in tutto il mondo il 21 maggio. L’evento di Ateneo, che nel 2026 giungerà alla sua sesta edizione, è un’opportunità per la comunità accademica di apprezzare i colori della diversità culturale attraverso storie/esperienze personali uniche ed è principalmente incentrato nella presentazione di interviste realizzate da alcuni studenti o da altri componenti della comunità accademica ad artisti o direttori di musei/curatori del loro luogo di origine (italiano o straniero). Lo scopo non è quello di un approfondimento di natura scientifico–disciplinare, bensì di incrementare il dialogo e la conoscenza interculturale nella comunità accademica. Gli intervistati sono direttamente collegati all’opera d’arte (ad es., il direttore o un curatore del museo dove essa è conservata) o artisti pubblicamente riconosciuti in settori creativi quali la pittura, l’architettura, la scultura, la letteratura, la musica, le arti dello spettacolo e il cinema. Insieme alle interviste, ogni anno vengono proposti altri tipi di presentazioni, ad esempio nel 2026 si aprirà una nuova rubrica dedicata ai nomi propri di persona.

Dear students, we’ll host Barbara Wisch, Professor Emerita of Art History at The State University of New York at Cortland, for a lecture entitled

“The Cultural Impact of the Lost Roman Oratorio of the Arciconfraternita della SS. Trinità dei Pellegrini e Convalescenti”.

This lecture will offer a valuable opportunity to explore the cultural and artistic significance of a space, central to the history of early modern Rome and its confraternal institutions.
