Call for application

Dear students,

would you like to spend this summer in Berlin, meet new people from all over Europe and deepen your knowledge of industrial heritage and sustainability at the same time? Then our 14-day English-language summer school “Shaping Sustainability in Industrial Heritage” in August 2024 is just right for you!

We are looking for fresh and diverse perspectives from students from the fields of museology, cultural studies, history, public history, industrial archaeology, cultural and tourism management, architecture and urban planning, heritage conservation, sustainability, communication studies or similar degree programmes.

Why Berlin?
Industrial development has significantly shaped Berlin, and together with you we would like to explore the fascinating combination of industrial culture and sustainability.

What can you expect?
– New skills: Learn about intercultural communication and plan projects towards sustainable goals.
– Interdisciplinary: Exchange ideas with students from different disciplines and expand your horizons.
– International network: Become part of the Young Professional Network of the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).

Application process: Apply via the HTW Berlin mobility portal. Once you have registered, complete the online application form. Have your certificate of matriculation, your grade transcript and your CV ready to upload. Here you can start directly.

Costs: All accepted applicants receive a scholarship from ERIH, which significantly reduces the participation fee. The total costs for a two-week stay in Berlin including accommodation, meals, public transport, cultural programme and materials is €360.

You can find further information here.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Kind regards from Berlin,
