Appointments on 20 and 21 June 2024!

On the occasion of the 2024 Music Festival, the SPFS Department and the University Internationalization Area are pleased to invite the entire university community to two musical events organized on 20 and 21 June 2024.

 

Thursday 20 June: “Waiting for the 2024 Music Festival. An international musical happening at Tor Vergata” at Campus X, via di Passolombardo n.341

Schedule:

  • 6.30 p.m.: Official greetings
  • 7.00 p.m.: Musical happening with performances by students, opened by the University Gospel Choir and followed by free proposals of live and programmed music
  • 12.00 p.m.: Toast to the 2024 Music Festival

For those interested, on June 20 between 9.00 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. Campus X will project the Italy-Spain match on the big screen

 

Friday 21 June: Music and words event dedicated to Giovanna Marini, composer, singer and conductor of vocal ensembles who recently passed away, organized by the Course in Music and Performing Arts, SPFS Department.

10.00 a.m. at the Ennio Morricone Auditorium (Macroarea of Letters and Philosophy, via Columbia n.1)

Department students representatives – CALL

ELECTION OF 2 STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES ON THE BOARD OF DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, CULTURAL HERITAGE, EDUCATION AND SOCIETY

Elections have been announced for 2 student representatives on the History and Heritage Department Council culture, education and society.

Voting operations in electronic mode will take place in the first round on 27 June 2024 from 01:00 to 23:59, and in the second round, in case the quorum is not reached, on the day 4 July 2024 from 00:00 to 23:59.

Applications must be submitted via email to the address: giorgia.di.rosa@uniroma2.it, by 12pm on the 13th June 2024, by means of a declaration signed by the candidate with an attached printout of their page student on delphi.

It is extremely important to make it clear that candidates MUST HAVE a perfect knowledge of the Italian language, as this is a role that will be involved within the Department, and each activity will take place exclusively in Italian.

WDCD 2024 – World Day of Cultural Diversity

On May 21, the academic community of Tor Vergata University of Rome celebrates the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development through the presentation of interviews conducted by students, related to artistic expressions of their places of origin.

Now in its fourth edition, the initiative is this year realised with the valuable collaboration of five students of the Master of Arts in Tourism Strategy,

Cultural Heritage and Made in Italy, who are engaged in this project to carry out their curricular internship.

CALL FOR PAPER – Re-Writing Morocco Poetics, Politics, Philosophy, and History in Multiple Forms

At the request of Dr. Mohammed Hashas, ​​co-organizer of the event, attached the Call for Paper for the event
“Re-Writing Morocco Poetics, Politics, Philosophy, and History in Multiple Forms”
which will be held in Rome on 21 and 22 November 2024.

 

A limited number of partial grants may be available to support young scholars, and scholars from disadvantaged contexts.
Applicants who fall into these categories and wish to be considered for the grant should send a short cover letter, besides their abstract and short bio, to explain their eligibility.

On April 23, 2024, from 17:00 to 18:00 p.m. (CET time), Tor Vergata University of Rome is pleased to invite you to the International Open Day, the event dedicated to the presentation of the English-taught degree courses offered by the Schools of Law, Economics, Engineering, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, and Medicine and Surgery and the Foundation Course.

Dear students,

would you like to spend this summer in Berlin, meet new people from all over Europe and deepen your knowledge of industrial heritage and sustainability at the same time? Then our 14-day English-language summer school “Shaping Sustainability in Industrial Heritage” in August 2024 is just right for you!

We are looking for fresh and diverse perspectives from students from the fields of museology, cultural studies, history, public history, industrial archaeology, cultural and tourism management, architecture and urban planning, heritage conservation, sustainability, communication studies or similar degree programmes.

Why Berlin?
Industrial development has significantly shaped Berlin, and together with you we would like to explore the fascinating combination of industrial culture and sustainability.

What can you expect?
– New skills: Learn about intercultural communication and plan projects towards sustainable goals.
– Interdisciplinary: Exchange ideas with students from different disciplines and expand your horizons.

Costs: All accepted applicants receive a scholarship from ERIH, which significantly reduces the participation fee. The total costs for a two-week stay in Berlin including accommodation, meals, public transport, cultural programme and materials is €360.
